GRANDE!!

Está al caer (aunque ya veremos si pasa por aquí, porque estas pelis les cuesta traerlas a nuestros cines :P) la película Suck, peli que narra en clave de humor bastante negro las peripecias de un grupo de rock bastante acabado que busca un cambio de imagen y deciden convertirse en vampiros.

La verdad es que viendo el trailer y el videoclip del tema principal (os lo pongo más abajo), apunta más que maneras y la música va a ser todo un reclamo para ver la peli... eso y que nos encontraremos actuando a Alice Cooper, Henry Rollins, Iggy Pop y Moby :)

Cuando me enteré de que hacían la película, la simple noticia no me extrañó en demasía, de hecho solo era cuestión de tiempo, pero el hecho de que fuera YA me trajo sudores fríos y ciertos reparos...

De hecho, cuando me enteré de que Liam Neeson haría de Hannibal Smith me sentó un poco raro... me daba la sensación de que iban a hacer una versión SERIA de la serie cuando, El Equipo A (The A-Team), no es que fuera una serie rodada en el absurdo, pero sí nos brinadaba capítulos entrañables bailando en las olas de la comedia de acción...

Eso sí... hasta que ví el trailer... :D

Me los encontré por una reseña en una revista, y la verdad es que me picó la curiosidad. Se trata de una banda de indie rockg/grunge sevillana que toma su nombre de aquella rareza de Nirvana, Pen Cap Chew, detalle por el que me tienen ya a sus pies con creces...

Además me enteré de que vienen a tocar en Barcelona en Enero, en el festival de Emergenza y les he echado una oreja a ver si me animo a ir a verlos...

Y la verdad es que me han parecido cojonudos. Escucharsuse sus temas en su Myspace Oficial... Y si alguien se anima, nos vamos a verlos a Barna (el 16 de Enero, creo :P).

No es que sea de los que más mola (que sí, que mola, y sí que sería de los más raros) de los Foo Fighters, pero sí es uno de los más jodidos de encontrar, o al menos en una calidad algo más decente.

Uno de los temas más potentes del disco de debut del mismo nombre, Foo Fighters, con uno de los riffs que más me han marcado por lo simple pero contundente y con un estribillo/frase de esos sencillos pero que lo dicen todo y te identifican, y te dan ganas de gritarselo a según quien a voces, y que, y que... nah, fanatismos aparte, aquí os dejo el vídeo y las lyrics :)

Definitivamente, el Superunknown, de los extintos Soundgarden, se encuentra en mi top de clásicos recurrentes e imprescindibles. Tiene temazos como la grandísima Black Hole Sun, Mailman, la homónima e increible Superunknown (muerto me he quedado más de una vez afoniquísimo de la muerte por berrearla en el coche), The day I tried to live... vamos, un track list lleno de temazos, de aquellos que todavía podías escuchar enteros una y otra vez sin pasar una sola pista...

Y de entre todos los temas, uno de los videoclips que más me impresionó y me gustó, fué este Fell on Black Days, canción con pendiente versión acústica ovejil, en la que vemos a la banda tocándola en vivo...

Por cierto, ¿cómo se llama cuando un grupo presenta una canción en directo tal cual aparece en el álbum? ¿Como el DVD que hizo Metallica con el St. Anger?

Pues sí que sí. Aún a falta (por mi parte) de pillar La Loba y escuchármelo de arriba a abajo y con las críticas positivas y negativas a partes iguales del primer single homónimo del Disco, Shakira nos trae el segundo single, Lo hecho está hecho.

Particularmente, de primeras, me gusta más... La Loba (o She Wolf) acaba pegándose y mucho conforme la escuchas, y el estribillo es lo único que sí me chirriaba al principio, pero ésta, además, creo que se acerca mucho más a la Shakira de siempre...

Coldplay, pese a ser un grupo que no me llena en demasía a la hora de escuchar, por ejemplo, un CD entero (sobre todo dependiendo del CD), tiene temazos y melodías la mar de encomiables y se saben mover entre las canciones con rítmico y los temas melancólicos con piezas de teclado y piano de lo más bien buscadas...

Y, no obstante, una de las canciones que más me gusta (si no la que más) de la banda, es esta Bigger Stronger, en la que ni siquiera se advierte el teclado y donde hacen un juego de guitarras limpias pero cargadas de reverb que me deja más que buen sabor de boca...

Me recuerda a las buenas canciones de Chris Cornell en solitario :)

Mira tú por dónde, llevo ya un par de semanas con este temazo de los Smashing Pumplins rondándome en la cabeza, y como hacía eones que no veía el video, lo pongo por aquí con la letra de la canción.

Y es que no sabría bien decir si me gusta más cuando Billy Corgan se pone 'tierno', o si cuando le da por meter una tralla metalera como las que tanto le gustan de vez en cuando, pero el caso es que los Pumpkins tienen grandes canciones para momentos concretos y diferenciados, y eso es muy de agradecer. Por cierto, el Zeitgeist me parece buenísimo.

Con motivo de su 15 aniversario como banda, los Foo Fighters nos deleitan con su Greatest Hits en el que podemos encontrar un CD con sus grandes éxitos como The Pretender, I'll stick around, Breakout, All My Life, Everlong, Monkeywrench o My Hero entre muchas, muchas otras, así como tres nuevas canciones, la presentada como single Wheels (otro día os pongo el vídeo), Words Forward y la versión en acústico de Everlong.

Woo HoooO!!!! Este todavía no lo había visto, el nuevo single de Natalie Imbruglia, Want. Y menudo single!! :D

La trayectoria de la cantante (y actriz) australiana en el mundillo musical, por mis partes, ha sido pausado pero a muy, muy buena letra. Quitando que no hay temporada en la que me ponga un par de veces o más el Left of the Middle y que me enamoré literalmente del White Lilies Island, el Counting Down the Days era la mar de correcto aunque le faltaba algo de 'electricidad' de la que no se había desprendido en ninguno de los anteriores. Tras un 'Greatest Hits', Glorious, vuelve en un CD que yo al menos ya andaba esperando muy mucho; Come to Life.

Y este es su segundo single (Wild about it el primero, otro día lo pongo), Want, que, amén de ser una canción bastante pegadiza y que aumenta mis ganas de ver cómo ha quedado entero el álbum (a ver si lo pillo), nos trae lo que me atrevería a describir como el video más sexy y sugerente de la Imbruglia, que se agradece, todo hay que decirlo... ROARGH!!! :D

Amigos, el tío Llors se va de Mamá ladilla. Nos dijo hace un par de meses que lo dejaba por los motivos que él mismo os cuenta más abajo. Manque esta importante baja nos entristece, la Reina y yo, digo Ferro y yo, en estas entrañables fiestas estamos más dispuestos que nunca a seguir adelante, tocar, grabar discos y esas cosas que hacemos los músicos. Serj Tankian en solitario...

Parece que lo huelo, porque cada vez que me intereso por un grupo (que suele ser tarde y con éste ya consolidadillo, que todo hay que decirlo), se separan o tienen algún rollo raro...

Me pasó con Nirvana (obvio), me pasó con Soundgarden (chaparon, aunque Chris Cornell sigue ahí, dándole), me pasó con Queens of the Stone Age (quién se viene el día 16 a Razzmatazz!? 23 eurillos de nada, oigan!!)(se fué el bajista y.... bueeeno... no es lo mismo)... y hasta los Foo Fighters, que ahora parece que van bien, pero la música tiene otros tintes (me gusta igual, pero diferente) pero no hay manera de que se acerquen por aquí...

Bueno, pues lo dicho... que ahora que empiezo a interesarme más por System of a Down, y el cantante, Serj Tankian, coge y saca disco en solitario...
